What to Expect
1. Screening and first interview
This is an initial appointment with your assessor to discuss your concerns, your history, experiences and screening questionnaires.

Usually lasts around 50 minutes.
2. Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale
This is an observational, in-person interview with yourself and the assessor that uses the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS-2) which consists of a series of standarised tasks to guide the assessment.
Usually lasts around 1 hour.
3. Autism Diagnostic Interview
This stage of the assessment involves a clinical interview between the assessor and a trusted parent/informant (friend, partner, family member) using the Autism Diagnostic Inventory (ADI-R) questionnaire.

This may consist of 1-2 sessions lasting a total time of around 2 hours.
4. Clinical Reporting and Feedback
The assessor will score and review your assessment and then compile the results into a comprehensive report which you will be given in a final feedback session to let you know the outcome of the assessment, along with resources and recommendations.
